Damit die Kraft der Ventilbetätigung ideal genutzt werden kann und gleichzeitig die Kunststoffmembrane eine hohe Lebensdauer erreicht, wird die TFM-Membrane durch eine zweite Membrane aus EPDM unterstützt. Ein in die TFM-Membrane eingearbeiteter Metallstift dient zum Anheben der Membrane und damit zum Öffnen des Ventils. Um Schäden der Membrane beim Schließvorgang vorzubeugen, ist der Metallstift im Ventiloberteil entlastet aufgehängt. Die eingesetzten TFM- und EPDM-Werkstoffe entsprechen den Vorgaben der FDA. Diese 2-teilige TFM/EPDM-Membrane ist bestens geeignet bei hoher chemischer, thermischer Belastung, sowie Dauerdampf-Anwendungen. Durch die vollflächige Verbindung zwischen TFM-Folie und Gummi treten selbst bei mechanischer Beschädigung der Folie keine Kavernen auf und damit keine undefinierten, nicht reinigbaren Räume. In order that the actuation force can be fully utilised without affecting the plastic diaphragm’s long service life, the TFM diaphragm is backed up by a second diaphragm made of EPDM. A metal pin embedded in the TFM diaphragm helps lifting the diaphragm and thus opens the valve. To avoid damage to the diaphragm during valve closure, the metal pin is fitted to the bonnet assembly by means of a floating nut. Both TFM and EPDM comply with FDA specifications. This 2-piece TFM/EPDM diaphragm is perfectly suited to applications involving high chemical, thermal stress and vapour applications. SISTO-C Membranen/SISTO-C Diaphragms As the rubber is fully covered by the TFM sheet, even mechanical damage to the sheet does not result in cavity formation and therefore to undefined spaces which cannot be cleaned.
